Established in 1874 from the school football team at Hamilton Academy, Accies remain the only professional club in British football to have originated from a school team. they play their home games at New Douglas Park and are managed by Billy Reid.
The Lanarkshire team were 300/1 to win the Scottish Premier League at the start of this season.
